StackTech Renderings For Packaging And Marketing
For the initial launch of the StackTech tool storage system from ToughBuilt, I was tasked with creating a series of renderings for the packaging artwork and promotional release. To achieve this, I created and managed a series of Keyshot files that ensured consistency of materials, lighting, and product posing across the product line, enabling rapid iteration and changes in order to achieve the directors’ vision. This resulted in renderings appearing on the packaging artwork, ToughBuilt’s website, and promotional information released to social media influencers and product reviewers.
Duration: 3 months
Roles: Product Rendering
Challenge:
Modular toolbox systems are quickly becoming a popular category. Several different brands are now competing, and winning new customers is key. How might we differentiate StackTech from its competitors through innovative packaging, and form a great first impression with this all new product line?
Action:
Most of the competing brands use a hang tag that is easily damaged or missing from the product. Most also contain a promotional pamphlet. We realized both of these were opportunities for improvement and differentiation.
Result:
StackTech features labels instead of hang tags, which are visually incorporated into the appearance of the product itself. These labels quickly communicate the important features, making use of large explanatory visuals and reducing unnecessary text. The included promotional pamphlet is similar to a magazine, which also uses impactful visuals to generate excitement for how the new products might be used.
